journey continues

We're here and have just actually checked in at Philippine Airlines counter in San Francisco International Airport

It almost feels like home already. And it's nice how you can now freely use Tagalog in conversations because it's mostly pinoys here already. 

We got here early so there are only few people checking-in [compared to our last trips in which we're  almost late and in a hurry **buzzer beaters]. This time I was even able to choose seats. They originally gave us middle seats and I have to ask them to change it again because we prefer to have the window seats.

And so we finally got our boarding passes..

Now we're just waiting for boarding time..

PS: compliments to this car that safely brought us here from Reno [sorry this picture was supposed to be with my earlier post but because I don't know yet how to attach pics while blogging thru my mobile phone I just posted it now.. better late than never]

MANILA, we are just 18 hours away from you!!

journey begins

7:15am

I came off work [yes, I did work 12 hours last night!!], but before anybody feels sorry for me let me tell you that I'm still wide awake right now even without caffeine. I guess this is purely adrenaline rush. Thank God it wasn't freezing cold outside and I didn't need to scrape ice off my newly washed and waxed car ;). In fact it was a beautiful morning. I feel so blessed already.

9:00am

We went to Reno-Tahoe International Airport to get the rental car from Hertz and we actually chose a red Rav4 [exactly like my car so it would just feel like travelling on my own car].

11:30am

Finally left Reno!! I couldn't count how many times I've come up and down the stairs, paced in and out the bedrooms and all over the whole house making sure I did not forget anything.

We're still halfway [no, not really ;)] but we're on our way. And of course hubby is driving [obviously!!], that's why I have both my hands on my cellphone right now writing this entry. We're going to stop over Sacramento to grab some lunch. This is a 4-hour drive from Reno to San Francisco International Airport then another 16-hour flight before we can finally get there [but how I really wish I can just fast forward time and be in Manila already].

sleepless nights

Well, not that I really sleep at night. What I actually mean is that I'm really having a hard time getting enough sleep lately. I think I have only slept for 4 hours a day in this last 48 hours. This excitement is so consuming. I'm not complaining [don't get me wrong]. I'm glad that, at least, I'm losing sleep because I'm just overly happy. And why wouldn't I be?

..3 days na lang!!

I'm really excited [for obvious reasons!!] the date is getting near. It's actually just a few days more.. well, my clock counter says it is exactly 4 days 10 hours 20 minutes and we'll be on our way home aboard Philippine Airlines flight105 San Francisco to Manila. Soon enough, I will physically, mentally, and emotionally be IN MY HAPPY PLACE :))

almost there

It actually did not sink in yet that our trip home is actually just a few days ahead until everyone was asking me about it. That is when I've realized. Now I feel like I'm running short of time planning, preparing, and packing.  I may not be as ready as I was same time last year but that doesn't mean I'm not excited. So, I'm  doing my countdown.

11 days to go..
